Sitting on my porch, softly rocking back and forth in my cozy red chair, I couldn't resist the urge to write about the immense pleasure of sensing God's presence and walking alongside Christ.

My husband Tim and I purchased two outdoor rocking chairs with comfy red cushions for the front porch. Yet, they are "low" seating, while not as low as beach chairs thank goodness. However, not too far off!

It made me giggle while we were putting them together. We planned to return them, although we didn't find priority in the effort. So I remain to delight in this rocking chair, glimpsing at the surroundings from the porch. I've worked quite a few hours on this porch. Tim and I enjoy talking about everything and nothing while unwinding. Watching the furbabies play, the hummingbirds take their gulps from the feeder, listening to the sweet sounds of nature that soothe me. I experience so much joy, contentment, and beauty from our Maker to simultaneously have trials, brokenness, and many valleys.

To know that Christ, for a specific duration of time, was the God of suffering and the most Beloved servant of all mankind.

God has beckoned me to follow Him, look upon Him with every breath, and know and hear Him. He invited me and truly blessed me to meet such a beautiful fellowship of His body and to remain committed to studying His Word, which is living and active. He wants us to stretch as far and wide as necessary to do what He called us to do. Individually and collectively, He knows what we will become no matter our circumstances. This is invaluable to believe in.

God has also called me to write. I believe, in my heart, to share and claim what I learn to know about Him. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. If writing comes to greater depths in the hereafter, it is for Him to reveal to me so He will empower me. (Isaiah 41:10) Nevertheless, I will say it is very—challenging. I could not keep saying I was unsuitable to accomplish this because He encouraged me to do so. It has been a year now. I have a few readers, mostly my loving family. In my story, experiences, and learning, I am here for the person to be served and to keep encouraging. Understanding that we can accomplish anything through Christ, that loves and makes way for us.

At the age of 30, I suffered a stroke. During my most irreverent and sinful years, I was at my lowest in spirit. The stroke affected my speech and writing. My thoughts aren't as easy to access publicly as they were prior-stroke and even 20+ years later. I am committed to fulfilling my purpose until I am led in a new direction.

A new mountain awaits me. Over time, I've realized that I've faced spiritual warfare head-on.
This is reality. This is a new element in my faith walk in Christ this season.

My walk with Jesus brings me such peace beyond my comprehension. In my current stage of spiritual growth, I have come to understand that God has given us all His sword.

Likewise, I've discovered that I'm more than a conqueror in Christ, which also means that ungodly and unseen forces are trying to conquer those who are His. Satan and his army are strategically planning against believers. His army is well organized, and he sends spirits against us to hinder our kingdom's purpose! It's important to remember and keep vigilantly aware that the battle that started in the Garden of Eden will persist until the second coming of Jesus.

I told one of my sisters a short while ago that I thought God might be teaching me some tastes of discernment that I don't know what to do with, not to mention comprehend what it's accomplishing and how to use it for His glory. She said it was a gift from God. Upon pondering this, I watch what happens by distinguishing my thought process while writing. For these treasures, I must thank Jesus. It is plain yet unimaginable what the enemy attempts to do to a child of God exemplifying His Glory.

Do not ever believe it, my sweet friends.

When dark thoughts tiptoe into your soul that filter into your heart and mind, and you think it may be true— about yourself or another person, then ask our One and only Redeemer if it is true!
Pray and open the Word that is the living Word of God.
—Pull out the sword and ensure God's armor is extra tight!

It's the war between God's way and man's self-centered ways.

In the book of Hebrews, in chapter 12 (the Lord has had me in this particular book for the last three weeks, and now I have come to appreciate His faithfulness), God tells us He will shake everything that can be shaken to leave only what cannot be shaken. This shaking is being used by God and is working together for good in the lives of those who love and are called by Him.

Our enemies are not other image-bearers, not people who disagree with us or don't look like us. A singular target of satanic attacks is Christians and the Christian Church.

It is reassuring to know that God is always in charge and will continue to do so for all time. Let us stay confident and hopeful as we will have victory.

As the uncertainty grows worldwide, we can rest assured that Father God's love and protection are unchanged.

Hold onto this wholeheartedly and with grit!

You and I will continue to take joy and solace in Christ and creation. Within our sweet porches, along the blissful sandy beaches, and in the mountains where the gentle wind blows. Where God's peace and harmony prevail over all evil.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:15-17
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” Ephesians 6:10-15 NKJV

that love has built

and looks out the windows

which hope has opened.”
